Safety

At MSA, safety is our business. Not only do we manufacture and install the bollards we are so well known for but we have widened our range over the years to include corner guards, docking bumpers, guard rails, height bars, line marking, safety mirrors, speed humps, tactile indicators, and wheel stops. Our experts can advise you on the best products for your needs as well as regulations and recommendations for the most effective install.

Protect from unsightly scratches, dents, and other marks in high traffic areas such as corridors, back of house areas, warehouses, car parks, and building corners. Our Corner guards are made from high quality Australian steel. They can be made completely custom to your situation and aesthetic: mild steel / stainless steel / galvanised / powder-coated, full wall height / half size / small.

To protect vehicles and walls docking bumpers absorb the impact when parking. Our Docking bumpers are made from high-quality, heavy-duty rubber to handle both the harsh Australian conditions and large truck impacts. We extrude our bumpers in-house and can supply any length required.

Guard Rails protect drivers from hazards close to the road. This could include utility services, rocks, trees, steep inclines, and oncoming traffic. They are designed to contain the vehicle to the road by deflecting back into the lane. Our guard rails are now MASH TL3 compliant at a minimum which means they can deflect a 2270kg pick-up truck travelling at 100km/h. We have standard w-beam rails as well as thrie-beams for more coverage, however both are designed with motorcyclists in mind as well as standard vehicles (and trucks for TL4 rated).

Vehicle Height Bars, otherwise known as Height Restriction or Clearance Bars are vital for vehicle thoroughfares that go through a structure or under an overhang that will not fit the largest of vehicles. You will see them at drive-throughs, tunnels, and under cover car parks, anywhere a large vehicle may  get stuck or damage infrastructure. These bars eliminate lawsuits if their height warning is not obeyed as they provide clear and highly visible instruction. Commonly powder coated safety yellow and made of high quality Australian steel they are built to last and withstand the harsh Aussie climate.

At MSA we are a one-stop car park spot! Not only do we manufacture and install bollards, storage, height bars, wheel stops, and speed bumps but we will also mark the lines*! Save time and money organising your whole car park with us. Make it safer for pedestrians and drivers alike, help your differently abled cust

*Unfortunately, at this time we only line mark car parks – no roads.

Safety Mirrors are convex mirrors or domes which show a wider range of view. They are used to eliminate blind-spots and see around corners quickly and easily. At MSA we stock indoor and outdoor safety mirrors in a range of sizes. These can be useful in hospitals, shops, warehouses/back of house areas, residential driveways, blind corners, anywhere collisions may occur or theft is difficult to see.

Speed Humps, or Speed Bumps are used to slow vehicles to low speeds. This is particularly useful in residential areas (please check with your local council before installation), schools, car parks, receiving areas, retirement villages, or temporary installation for pop-up events. At MSA, our speed humps are sectional, meaning you can customise the length by adding more middle segments.

Tactile Indicators otherwise known as Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (or TGSIs) are an important safety tool. They indicate when there is a road, crossing, steps, ramp, or other hazard, obstruction, or change in surface. This is particularly important for blind or visually impaired people but can be helpful for the wider public too. Our tactile Indicators are truncated cones made from Australian stainless steel with a non slip rubber top. They adhere to the AS/NZS 1428.4.1 standard sizing and composition.

Wheel stops are an increasingly important safety tool. Wheel stops can mitigate events that are dangerous for the driver, pedestrians, and structures. When the acceleration is accidentally pushed too hard, or the car is put into drive instead of reverse, wheel stops can save lives. They can also be useful in small car parks as an indicator the driver is completely within the spot. Our wheel stops are made from durable recycled rubber. They are tough enough for the harsh Australian climate yet soft enough to not cause any damage to tyres or car. Bright, textured, yellow panels increase visibility day and night.
