Fixed bollards
Why do you need a standard fixed bollard?
- You need to protect pedestrians and/or buildings from vehicles
- You don't want/need vehicles to pass through the area at all
- You want protection 24/7
Sentry shallow-mount
Shallow-mount bollards are, as the name suggests, mounted in a large, shallow, hole compared to the standard thin, deep hole regular in-ground bollards require. The shallow-mount hole is large to allow for additional metal structure bracing, however, it is shallow allowing no interference with existing power lines and gas mains. Shallow mount bollards are perfect for high protection without risking underground utilities.
Our Sentry Shallow-mount bollards are available in a galvanised, colour powder coated or stainless steel finish. A composite stainless steel bollard is also available if extra strength is required. Red reflective bands can be added as an option. These bollards are available in a range of dimensions. Flat, domed, mitred or other architectural caps can be included.
These bollards are installed in a new concrete footing with a depth of between 150mm to 305mm, depending on the security rating required. These bollards are available as K4, K8 or K12 Crash Rated Bollards.
Sentry Surface-mounted
Surface Fixed Bollards are the standard for very low risk areas. As the name suggests the bollard is only affixed to the ground on the surface, usually with heavy-duty screws. This is perfect if you are only protecting against accidental damage and wanting to minimise pedestrian thoroughfare in the area. However, these bollards are not designed for higher traffic, ram raid, or smash and grab type robbery protection – for those we recommend shallow-mount or in-ground bollards (see below).
Our Sentry Surface-mounted bollards are available in a range of dimensions to suit your aesthetic.
Flat, domed, mitred or other architectural tops can be arranged.
These bollards can be installed onto an existing surface or on new concrete footings.
Sentry in-ground
In-ground bollards are the standard bollard you likely see on a daily basis. They are dug deeply into the ground, using the surrounding cement and earth to brace on impact. As a result they are perfect for high protection at a lower price point if underground utility lines are not going to be an issue.
Our Sentry In-ground bollards are available in a galvanised, colour powder coated or stainless steel finish. A composite stainless steel bollard is also available if extra strength is required. Reflective bands can be added as an option. These bollards are available in a large range of dimensions. Flat, domed, slope or architectural caps can be arranged.
These bollards can be installed by either core drilling into an existing surface or be installed in new concrete footings. We generally recommend at least 400mm in ground to provide sufficient anchorage in car related accidents.
